Mubeen Khan

I am a Postdoctoral researcher in the Language and Genetics Department, working on research projects that focus on Rare mutations disrupting speech and language development and Modelling genetic disruptions using cellular systems.

I completed my Bachelor’s and Master's degrees in Molecular biology and Human Genetics from Islamabad, Pakistan. To pursue my PhD, I moved to the Netherlands. I obtained my PhD in medical sciences at the Radboudumc. During my PhD, I did the research to resolve the missing heritability in Stargardt disease caused by bi-allelic mutations in ABCA4 gene.

In 2021, I joined the Language and Genetics Department, investigating the role of genes related to speech and language development in stem cell-based neuronal models.
