Newcomer: Bahar Tarakci

Bahar Tarakci joined MLD as a PhD student.

Bahar Tarakçı Denizli has recently joined the Multimodal Language Department as a PhD Student, working under the supervision of Dr. Aslı Özyürek, Dr. Paula Rubio-Fernández, and Dr. Ercenur Ünal. She holds a Master's degree in Applied Developmental Psychology and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology.

Before joining the MPI, Bahar worked as a Research Associate at Özyeğin University for three years. Her research interests lie in the interactions between language-related and other perceptual, cognitive, and social processes. At the MPI, she will explore how language and social cognition interact in the development and evolution of human communication.

Outside of academia, Bahar enjoys discovering historical places, visiting museums, and spending time in art galleries.
