I am a PhD student under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Asli Özyürek, Dr. Limor Raviv, Dr. Marieke Woensdregt and Dr. Judith Holler. With my background in Artificial Intelligence, I am interested in using computational models to learn more about human language. In particular, to tease apart different social and cognitive pressures that are at play in the emergence and evolution of language.
During my PhD at the MPI, I will investigate the role of different modalities in language evolution and emergence, using a mixture of experiments and agent-based modeling.
