As the Lab Coordinator at the Multimodal Language Department, my primary responsibility is to ensure a smooth workflow within the lab, from setting up meetings to supporting our researchers during their experiments.
I hold a Master's degree in English Language Teaching and a Bachelor's in English Language Translation. Before joining MPI, I spent 14 amazing years teaching English back home in Iran, both at the Iran Language Institute and Azad University of Gorgan.
My research interests lie at understanding individual differences in language learning and the cognitive development in language acquisition. In my Master's thesis, I've investigated both study orchestration and the perceived locus of causality, specifically exploring their impact on language learning.
Outside of the academic world, I've always been an outdoor enthusiast. Back in Iran, my weekends often involved hiking and catching up with friends. Since moving to the Netherlands, I've swapped mountain trails for jogging paths. 😊🏃🏻♀️ The nature here in Holland is absolutely stunning and I'm loving every bit of it!
